Dr. Phillip Weaver
First Baptist Church of Cleveland
Dr. Phillip Weaver has served in the pastoral ministry for over 31 years. He and his wife, Kim, have been married for 33 years. They have two grown children, Haleigh and Jeremiah. Haleigh is married to Capt. Matthew Beisel, a U.S. Army chaplain. They have four children, with a fifth on the way. Jeremiah is a computer programmer and is married to Kaitlin, a middle school special education math teacher. Phil and Kim also have 3 small dogs: Jubilee, Barksleigh, and Molly.
Dr. Weaver received his Doctor of Philosophy (Preaching) and Doctor of Ministry degrees from New
Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served churches in Alabama, Delaware, Georgia, and
Louisiana. In addition, he has taught various courses at the college and seminary level. Dr. Weaver also previously served as the director of the NOBTS extension center at Phillips State Prison in Buford, GA.
Kim is a graduate of Troy University with a BA in Art/Photography. She has spent most of her married
life as a stay–at–home mom, homeschooler, and ministry partner for Phil. She has a servant’s heart and
also enjoys meeting the needs of others within both the church and the community. She enjoys
photography as a hobby.
